This is our first AI integration—and many more are on the way.
Although we anticipate users leveraging this feature across a range of project types, we know many designers and specifiers use Designer Pages more like a look book than a traditional FF&E spec book. This update helps annotate the visual intent behind your selections, so the recipient—often a dealer—understands why you chose a particular piece. That way, your design intent stays clear, and you can avoid situations where dealers propose alternatives that miss the mark.
How it works:
-
Find the new AI button
On both the Add to Folder and Edit Spec pages, you'll now see a purple button labeled:
“Hey LaTrobe! Help me write a description.” -
LaTrobe analyzes the image
The AI will scan your spec's image and suggest a list of relevant characteristics in bullet form (e.g., “Smooth white finish,” “Minimalist design,” “Three-legged support”). -
Select what applies
Pick the options that best describe your spec. You can also choose to format them as a single sentence. -
Preview + Submit
After selecting, LaTrobe generates a suggested description, which appears in the Description Sample field. Hit Submit to auto-fill the Short description field. You can still make manual edits before saving.
Why it matters:
-
Helps clearly communicate design intent
-
Reduces back-and-forth or misinterpretation by dealers
-
Speeds up spec creation
-
Makes your look books more descriptive and professional
