2026.04.28_ Tighter Control On Editing Your Image Details

1 min. readlast update: 04.28.2026

It feels like a lifetime ago, but we introduced zooming and cropping for image details just over six months ago (see announcement), with cropping for the primary image having been around even longer.

We’ve now built on those existing image controls—originally designed for light resizing and cropping—by significantly increasing precision. You can zoom, pan, and crop with tighter control, making it easier to define exactly what’s shown without re-editing or re-uploading.
What you see is what you get: exports reflect your exact framing, applied consistently across PDFs and outputs.

And if you want to throw something a little wackadoo at it—a panorama, an oddly scaled image—it handles that just as cleanly.

For existing specs, nothing changes immediately—they’ll continue using the current image library. Once a spec is saved, it automatically switches to the upgraded version, so you’ll start benefiting from the improved precision going forward.
