➕ One Place to Start
No more wondering where to begin. To create a new spec when the product isn’t already in the system, just click the ➕ button at the top of your specs on the Project page. That’s it. One entry point, one clean workflow.
Quick Spec… Meet In-Line Stub
The interface will look familiar—it’s nearly identical to the original Quick Spec flow. But now, we’ve folded the Auto-fill from URL experience directly into it. With everything in one place, there’s no need for the old Stub creation tool in the header.
We’ve officially renamed Quick Spec to Stub (now inline) to better reflect what it does—and what it’s always done.
When creating a Stub, you can choose to:

Auto-fill from URL — great for running-line products from a brand’s catalog

Enter Manually — ideal for custom, one-of-a-kind items (classic Quick Spec style)
Nested specs? Still covered. Just use Nested Stub, replacing the old “Quick Nested” option.
Why we did this
Having two similar features in two different places was confusing. This update unifies the process into a single, streamlined flow—so intuitive, you won’t need our help to use it.
