Managing Specs just got a whole lot easier with our latest update.
Bulk Edit allows you to modify and manage the information on multiple specs simultaneously, whether adjusting spec dates or modifying spec info. This time-saving tool empowers you to handle large volumes of information effortlessly, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
To access the feature begin by selecting the specs you want to manage and then click on the Bulk Edit Icon on the Action Bar, then, select if you're going to manage Spec Dates or Spec Info.
Spec Info
When you decide to edit the spec info, you will get an Excel-like table in which you will be able to freely input the information for each spec.
This is managed in real time, so anything you put here will be saved automatically without having to hit sumbit or save.
To be able to edit the fields of Product Display Name, Brand Display Name, Description and Notes, the spec needs to be in any specification status other than evaluated.
If the spec is evaluated all those fields will be greyed out and you won't be able to edit them.
For these specs, you will only be able to edit the code/tag on this screen.
All the attributes from all the selected specs will appear as columns in this table, however, if the attribute does not exist, the field will be grayed out and not editable.
Only the exisiting attributes for each spec can be edited here, new attributes must be added from the Edit page.
Spec Dates
You can modify the spec dates of all the selected specs, select one of the two date fields then indicate the date and the event and hit submit.
This will save the selected date on the selected field for all the specs that are currently being edited.
Also, by checking on the "Deselect Active Spec Dates" before submitting, will deselect all other spec dates on your specs.
